Yes. A full structural teardown needs a demolition permit and the utilities, gas, electric, water, and sewer, disconnected and capped first. We pull the permit and coordinate those disconnects with the utility companies as part of the job so the site is cleared to come down safely.
Older structures sometimes need an asbestos survey before demolition. We handle that side of the job and make sure any required abatement is done to code before the teardown starts, so you're not left coordinating a separate contractor. We go over the details with you during the estimate.
We can. Foundations, footings, and basement walls come out with the structure if you want a clean lot, and we backfill and grade the hole so the site is level. If you're rebuilding, tell us what needs to stay and we'll work around it.
Once permits and disconnects are in place, the actual teardown and haul-off is usually a few days depending on the size of the structure and the foundation work. We give you a realistic timeline during the on-site estimate, not a guess.
